FTA's Awareness Campaigns Reach 28,000 Individuals In First Half Of 2025
The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is committed to enhancing its awareness campaigns and communication channels. This initiative aims to effectively engage all stakeholders involved in tax implementation across the UAE. By expanding its range of services, the FTA seeks to strengthen its connection with taxpayers and beneficiaries throughout the emirates.
In the past year and the first half of this year, the FTA has introduced several innovative campaigns and activities. These efforts are designed to meet the tax awareness needs of both the business community and various segments of Emirati society. The FTA reported that it conducted 85 awareness activities in the first half of 2025, benefiting 28,000 participants. This marks a 21% increase compared to 70 activities during the same period in 2024.

The Authority organised 53 virtual events in the first half of 2025, compared to 43 during the same period in 2024. Additionally, there were 24 in-person events held, slightly fewer than the 27 events conducted in the first half of last year. These workshops aim to close any gaps in tax-related knowledge among participants.
The FTA continues to advance its plans supporting the second cycle of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. These efforts focus on enhancing digital integration with relevant authorities and continuously improving users’ digital experiences. The Authority's awareness activities include Customer Councils held across all emirates, which organise consultative sessions and dialogues with business community representatives and stakeholders.
Zahra Al Dahmani, Director of Taxpayer Services at the FTA, stated: "As part of our ongoing efforts to diversify awareness tools and communication channels in line with current needs, we continue to engage the business community by incorporating their ideas and suggestions into the FTA’s sustainable development plans. These efforts are aimed at maintaining the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and flexibility while simplifying and streamlining procedures."
The FTA has launched new awareness campaigns and programmes to introduce its services and initiatives while expanding core awareness activities. Key initiatives include ‘Tax Talks’ workshops benefiting 72 participants through three sessions; two workshops on ‘Tax Certificates’ serving 1,330 participants; six workshops on ‘EmaraTax’ digital tax services platform attracting 2,044 participants; and two workshops on ‘Tax Updates’ with 1,824 participants during the first half of 2025.
Focus on Efficiency and Quality
Al Dahmani emphasised that these awareness efforts highlight ongoing legislative developments within the tax system as well as various digital transformation projects launched by the Authority. These projects aim to accelerate service delivery by reducing paper-based processes, minimising documentation requirements while providing more accessible services—all with tangible results expected within a short timeframe.
The FTA's initiatives reflect a commitment towards simplifying procedures for taxpayers while ensuring efficient service delivery through enhanced digital integration across relevant authorities within UAE’s taxation framework.
