FNC Parliamentary Division Participates In Key Sessions Of Arab Parliament Committees

The Federal National Council (FNC) Parliamentary Division participated in the inaugural session of the Arab Parliament's fourth legislative chapter. This session, led by Mohammed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament and FNC member, took place at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo. The meeting focused on various regional issues and developments.

Key members from the FNC Parliamentary Division attended the session. These included Naama Al Sharhan, Deputy Chair of the FNC Parliamentary Division and a member of the Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs; Majid Mohammed Al Mazrouei from the Committee on Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs; and Mohammed Hassan Al Dhuhouri from the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee.

The Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women, and Youth Affairs presented its work plan during this session. It emphasised significant topics such as women's rights, children's welfare, youth development, education improvements, research advancements, health initiatives, environmental concerns, and cultural preservation. The committee stressed unified Arab policies to monitor progress on Millennium Development Goals related to social issues in member states.

Meanwhile, the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee outlined its agenda for the term. It reiterated its dedication to fostering joint Arab efforts aimed at achieving economic integration. The committee aims to boost investment opportunities and promote intra-Arab trade while creating favourable conditions for economic unity across Arab nations.

The Committee on Foreign, Political, and National Security Affairs addressed key developments affecting Arab regions. They discussed ongoing crises that impact national security within these areas. Their focus was on understanding these challenges to devise effective strategies for resolution.

In parallel discussions, the Legislative, Legal, and Human Rights Committee reviewed a draft law targeting illegal migration within the Arab world. They also explored initiatives designed to support human rights protection throughout the region. These efforts aim to establish a comprehensive legal framework addressing migration issues while safeguarding individual rights.

The session highlighted various committees' roles in addressing pressing regional matters through collaborative efforts among member states. By focusing on social welfare improvements alongside economic growth strategies and security measures combined with human rights advocacy initiatives—Arab Parliament aims towards holistic progress across its member nations.
