First SyrianAir Flight Lands In Dubai, Signalling Resumption Of Regular Services Between Syria And UAE

Syrian Airlines (SyrianAir) has resumed direct flights between Syria and the United Arab Emirates, with a plane landing at Dubai International Airport from Damascus. This marks the beginning of a phased plan to re-establish regular air travel between the two countries. The airline announced that this initial flight is part of efforts to restore connectivity.

Flights from Damascus to Dubai will initially operate four times a week on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The airline plans to increase these flights to daily operations soon due to high demand. Similarly, flights from Damascus to Sharjah will run on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, with intentions to expand them to daily services.

SyrianAir Resumes Flights to Dubai

The Damascus–Abu Dhabi route will have two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays. SyrianAir aims to gradually increase these frequencies as well. The airline is responding to growing demand for travel between Syria and the UAE by planning more frequent services.

Samih Arabi, Director-General of SyrianAir, highlighted the importance of resuming direct flights to the UAE. He stated that this move demonstrates the airline's dedication to reconnecting Syria with regional and international markets. This is particularly significant for countries with large Syrian expatriate populations like the UAE.

Arabi mentioned that this initiative is part of a larger plan to revive civil aviation activities and broaden SyrianAir's network. He accompanied the inaugural flight to Dubai and emphasized the airline's commitment to increasing flight frequencies in response to rising travel demand.

Travellers are advised by Arabi to keep updated through official announcements and contact SyrianAir offices for detailed information. He stressed the economic and social benefits of direct flights, which facilitate family reunions for Syrians living in the UAE.

Future Regional Connectivity

SyrianAir is also working towards resuming operations to other Arab and regional destinations soon. This strategy aims at restoring its significant role in regional air transport. The airline is intensifying efforts in this direction as part of its broader operational goals.

This renewed connectivity not only aids in economic recovery but also strengthens social ties by enabling easier movement for families separated by distance. As SyrianAir expands its network, it seeks to reclaim its position in regional aviation.
