Fintech Abu Dhabi Highlights Innovations And Trends, Reinforcing Its Global Financial Hub Status
Fintech Abu Dhabi has returned for its eighth edition, solidifying its reputation as the largest fintech festival in the Middle East. As part of Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW), the event attracted a diverse group of global tech leaders, innovators, banks, developers, entrepreneurs, and investors who are shaping the future of finance. The focus was on payments, digital assets, digital security, and credit, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's role as a global financial innovation hub.

Paul Kayrouz from the Central Bank of the UAE delivered a keynote on ‘Seeding Success: The UAE as a Global Fintech Hub.’ A fireside chat with H.R.H. Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud explored AI's potential as a transformative asset class impacting industries like finance and health.
A panel discussion titled ‘Has the Unicorn Machine Stopped Working?’ examined new unicorns in fintech despite challenges in venture capital markets. Representatives from FJ Labs, VentureSouq, Airwallex, and Financial Technology Partners discussed whether growth can be sustained or if consolidation is needed.
The ‘Building the Digital Assets Ecosystem’ panel featured notable figures such as Sebastien Danloy from Euroclear Group and Nadine Chakar from Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.
