Fintech Abu Dhabi Signals A New Era Of Financial Innovation And Leadership
The third day of Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025, hosted by ADGM, highlighted Fintech Abu Dhabi and RESOLVE. These events gathered influential figures from finance, technology, legal, and dispute resolution sectors. The theme 'Engineering the Capital of Capital' underscored Abu Dhabi's ambition to be a leading financial hub and legal centre.
Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi & Chairman of ADGM Academy, opened the day with a statement: "The future of finance will not be written by algorithms alone, but by people with vision, courage, and purpose. Through platforms like Fintech Abu Dhabi, we are not only anticipating what’s next for the sector but actively building it. Today’s insightful conversations reflect Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become the launchpad for a new era of inclusive, intelligent, and resilient financial progress."

The ninth edition of Fintech Abu Dhabi showcased significant changes in financial services. Topics included tokenisation, AI advancements, digital banking innovations, and stablecoins. Prominent speakers such as Brian Armstrong from Coinbase and Jeremy Allaire from Circle shared insights on these developments.
Key discussions on digital credit and regulatory innovation took place on the main stage. Notable fintech leaders like Richard Teng from Binance and Jennifer Johnson from Franklin Templeton participated. They explored how fintech is evolving with speed and regulatory clarity in mind.
RESOLVE 2025 focused on international dispute resolution under the theme ‘Courage’. Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi delivered a keynote titled "Justice with Courage", highlighting Abu Dhabi's role in setting progressive legal standards. Linda Fitz-Alan from ADGM Courts emphasised navigating legal disruptions effectively.
The forum featured global experts discussing cross-border crypto regulation and AI-driven legal strategies. Speakers included Matthew Lewis from Hintsa Performance and Marc Randolph, Netflix Co-Founder.
AI's Role in Finance
The AI Abu Dhabi Forum examined artificial intelligence's impact on financial systems. Participants included major tech firms like Mubadala and PayPal. Discussions centred around AI applications in predictive analytics and risk modelling.
Blockchain Abu Dhabi brought together pioneers like Charles Hoskinson from Input|Output and Anatoly Yakovenko from Solana Labs. They discussed decentralised finance and digital asset infrastructure.
Strategic Announcements
Galaxy Digital announced its new office in ADGM to expand its global presence across continents. Meanwhile, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) plans an investment platform for Gulf Cooperation Council investors targeting Central Asia projects.
SAAS Properties unveiled The Ritz-Carlton Residences on Al Maryah Island as part of their luxury real estate portfolio expansion in the UAE.
Partnerships and Future Events
A total of 24 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during ADFW's third day. Collaborations involved entities like Blackrock, Finstreet, Swiss Re, Lulu Financial Group, Crypto.com, Hanwha, and Kresus.
The final day of ADFW will feature the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF). This event will focus on sustainability within finance alongside other key discussions.
