Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Launched To Empower Local Talent In Brokerage Firms
The Dubai Land Department, in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai (RIT Dubai), has introduced the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator. This initiative is part of the national campaign 'The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,' launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to bolster the UAE's status as a global entrepreneurship hub.
The programme's first edition will commence on 27th October at Dubai Silicon Oasis, a zone dedicated to knowledge and innovation under the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ). It will support 50 Emirati real estate firms in evolving from independent brokers to full-fledged agencies. The incubator aims to equip participants with skills to establish their brokerage firms, confidently enter the market, and manage businesses following global best practices.

Omar Hamad Bushahab, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, highlighted their dedication to empowering Emirati brokers with essential knowledge and skills. "Through this incubator, we aim to build a new generation of Emirati brokers who can establish leading brokerage firms, contributing to the market's sustainability and solidifying the UAE's position as a global hub for real estate investment," he stated.
Bushahab also noted that since 2024, 1,800 new Emirati brokers have joined an existing 700 out of a total of 30,000 brokers in Dubai. These brokers have completed transactions worth AED10 billion. He emphasised collaboration with partners to empower more Emirati firms in contributing to the UAE’s real estate sector's sustainability and leadership.
During a panel discussion at the press conference, Badr Buhannad from Dubai Silicon Oasis expressed commitment to developing Emirati talent through collaboration with academic partners. "Our collaboration with Dubai Land Department and the New Economy Academy along with academic partners will help provide a stimulating environment where participants can leverage an integrated ecosystem that merges technology, real estate, and entrepreneurship," he said.
Buhannad added that hosting this programme underscores their dedication to fostering integrated business ecosystems and successful projects that enhance national economic contributions. It also positions DSO as a hub for knowledge and innovation.
