Emirati Human Resources Development Council Hosts Successful Hospitality Industry Open Day With Over 100 Job Opportunities
The Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, alongside the Dubai College of Tourism and strategic partners, recently organised a Hospitality Industry Open Day. This event, supported by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the NAFIS programme, and the Community Development Authority in Dubai, resulted in over 100 job opportunities for Emirati candidates. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to empower Emiratis to enter the private sector and aligns with the UAE's Emiratisation strategy.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, stated, "This event empowers Emirati talent to join vital sectors like hospitality, a cornerstone of our economy. Through initiatives like these, we are not only opening up career opportunities but also contributing to the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to establish Dubai as one of the world’s top urban economies. By enabling Emiratis to enter this growing sector, we are helping sustain Dubai and the UAE's leadership in the global tourism landscape and enhancing their status as top international destinations. Our commitment extends beyond offering jobs; it is about ensuring sustainable career development, allowing Emiratis to play an essential role in shaping the future of both our economy and global tourism."

The event attracted leading hospitality brands and individual hotels eager to offer various roles to Emiratis. Participating establishments included Palazzo Versace Dubai, Hilton (Conrad Hotel Dubai, Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Mina), Rixos Premium Dubai – JBR, REVIER HOTEL DUBAI, Accor (Swissôtel), Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East, Marriott (Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah), IHG, Hyatt (Hyatt Place), and Kerzner (One&Only The Palm).
These renowned hotels provided diverse employment opportunities across their global chains. The initiative aimed at integrating more Emiratis into key economic sectors such as hospitality. This aligns with broader efforts to enhance local participation in industries crucial for economic growth.
The collaboration between various entities underscores a commitment to developing local talent for private sector roles. The partnership with organisations like NAFIS and Community Development Authority highlights a strategic approach towards achieving national objectives. These partnerships are essential for aligning educational outcomes with market needs.
The council was established by a decree from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It includes representatives from both government and private sectors. The council aims to create a reference entity representing stakeholders involved in developing Emirati human resources in Dubai's private sector.
This initiative ensures an attractive environment for attracting Emirati talent while aligning students' educational outcomes with labour market requirements according to strategic sectors.
