Partnership Between Emirati HR Council And Al Ghurair Strengthens Emiratisation Efforts
In a significant move to boost Emiratisation efforts, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council has joined forces with Al Ghurair, one of the UAE's largest diversified family business groups, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership aims to enhance initiatives that promote the training and employment of Emiratis, aligning with both entities' commitment to national workforce development.
The MoU was signed by Abdulaziz Alfalahi, the Emiratisation Recruitment Superintendent in Dubai at the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, and Suhrid Chaudhuri, Executive Vice President of Organisational Development and Talent at Al Ghurair. This collaboration is set to focus on strategic plans and initiatives that support the shared objectives of fostering employment opportunities for Emiratis and equipping them with the skills needed to excel in the UAE's dynamic job market.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, highlighted the importance of this partnership. He stated, "The signing of this MoU reinforces our commitment to developing the local workforce. By working closely with Al Ghurair, we aim not only to provide employment opportunities but also to empower our citizens." The Council is actively seeking partnerships with key players in the private sector to ensure a collaborative approach towards enhancing national employment initiatives.
Suhrid Chaudhuri from Al Ghurair remarked on the significance of this collaboration, saying, "This MoU marks a significant step towards achieving our mutual goals of enhancing Emirati workforce development and nurturing national talent." The partnership is expected to create effective strategies for integrating Emiratis into key economic sectors.
The MoU outlines several objectives aimed at fostering cooperation in the employment sector. These include establishing a regulatory framework to facilitate employment opportunities for Emiratis, implementing essential training programmes to qualify national cadres, ensuring the sustainability and progression of workforce development initiatives, and promoting integration between the public and private sectors.
Under this agreement, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council will work on developing national talent and supplying resumes of qualified citizens to Al Ghurair. In turn, Al Ghurair will prioritize the employment of Emiratis, implement tailored training programmes, and allocate resources to support workforce development initiatives. This partnership represents a pivotal step towards enhancing the integration and development of the Emirati workforce in key sectors of the economy.
