Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Final Championship Concludes In Damascus With Fierce Competitions
The 10th and final event of the inaugural Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for the 2024 season has concluded in Damascus, Syria. This two-day championship was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and overseen by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan. The event took place at Saif Al Sham Club, featuring intense competition among 95 horses representing 65 owners.
Hassan Ahmed Mohamed Suleiman Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to Syria, Wahid Mubarak Sayyar, Bahrain's Ambassador to Syria, and Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director-General of EAHS, were present to crown the winners. Many other officials, owners, and Syrian breeders also attended. The championship coincided with the 10th Syrian National Show Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses.

The opening ceremony showcased performances highlighting the rich heritage of Arabian horses. These included horseback shooting displays, theatrical dances, and other cultural shows. In the Fillies Championship, Amira. J secured the gold medal for owner A’ adam Bayroty. Ghalet A.S won silver for Abdallah H. Sadeh, while Nour Al Khair claimed bronze for Al Khair Stables.
Taim Al Said Hassan triumphed in the Colts Championship with a gold medal for owner Khaled Al Said Al Hassan. Amal Al Izz earned silver for Khaldoun Zouby, leaving bronze for Al Boraq A.S owned by Abdallah H. Sadeh. In the Mares Championship, Hala Alzenati took gold for owner Huda Kheti.
Joulyia A.S added a silver medal for Abdallah H. Sadeh in the Mares category, with Noor A.S joining her stablemate in success. The Stallions Championship saw Izz Alizz win gold for Khaldon M. Alzoeeby. Azad Al Jawadieh secured silver for M. Ali Al Rakhlani, while Adham Al Fahed took bronze for Basel Malhan.
Al Shehhi expressed satisfaction with the event's success in Damascus and highlighted its role in promoting UAE's support for Arabian horses globally. He stated that this aligns with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed’s vision and support.
He further noted that sports like equestrianism contribute significantly to soft diplomacy by fostering communication and strengthening partnerships with countries such as Syria.
