Egypt Signs 55 Strategic Agreements To Boost Offshoring Industry
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced the signing of 55 strategic agreements with major multinational and local technology firms. These agreements, under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, involve companies such as Teleperformance, Accenture, Deloitte, VOIS, Luxoft, RSA, and Capgemini.
These partnerships are expected to generate thousands of high-value jobs for Egyptian youth in fields like business process outsourcing (BPO), IT, engineering, and advanced technology services. This initiative aligns with ITIDA's strategy to bolster Egypt's presence in offshoring and supports the government's vision for a knowledge-based digital economy.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, commented on the agreements: "Egypt has quickly become a leading hub for technology and digital services, driven by strategic vision, strong infrastructure, and a skilled, youthful workforce. Our success is built on RISE: Reliable talent with over 760,000 graduates yearly, including 50,000 ICT specialists; Infrastructure readiness; Strategic proximity; and an Efficient cost structure."
At this year's Global Offshoring Summit, it was noted that 55 international companies are expanding their operations in Egypt. This expansion is expected to create over 70,000 jobs within the next three years. The move reflects global confidence in Egypt as a reliable partner for digital services.
Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, expressed his enthusiasm about the agreements: "Signing 55 agreements with leading global and local players is a milestone for Egypt's digital economy. Three years since launching the Offshoring Strategy, we are grateful to our partners for establishing or expanding global delivery centers here — their success is our success."
The impact of these partnerships on Egypt's economy is substantial. They demonstrate strong confidence from major companies in Egypt's capabilities as an offshoring destination. With its skilled workforce and robust infrastructure, Egypt is well-positioned to meet global market demands.
As these collaborations unfold, they reinforce Egypt’s status as a trusted hub for high-quality digital services. The country's strategic location and efficient cost structure further enhance its appeal as a destination for offshoring activities.
With abundant talent available in the country, there is optimism about reaching full potential in the digital economy sector. These developments mark significant progress towards achieving a knowledge-based digital economy in line with governmental objectives.
