Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has initiated the third season of its flagship programme, EGA Ramp-Up. This initiative aligns with the Entrepreneurial Nation Strategy 2031 and aims to empower emerging entrepreneurs in the UAE. Supported by the Ministry of Economy, EGA Ramp-Up provides expert guidance, mentorship, intensive training, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs focused on sustainability and economic growth.
The collaboration between EGA and Microsoft UAE will enhance the third season through workshops and mentorships centred on technology-driven strategy development. The programme's previous seasons attracted numerous aspiring entrepreneurs, creating over 1,000 jobs collectively. Notably, more than 35 percent of participating start-ups were founded by women.

Yasser Al Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, emphasised the importance of empowering Emirati entrepreneurs for national prosperity. He stated that initiatives like EGA Ramp-Up equip young innovators with essential tools to transform their ideas into impactful businesses. This effort supports a sustainable and diversified economy.
Alia bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, highlighted the Ministry's partnership with EGA as a model of collaborative success. She noted that several Ramp-Up finalists have been recognised among the UAE's Future 100 companies. This reciprocal growth underscores the value of their collaboration.
Abdulnasser bin Kalban, CEO of EGA, remarked on entrepreneurship's role in economic diversification and growth. He expressed that EGA Ramp-Up aims to support innovative businesses in realising their potential while maximising community and environmental benefits. He anticipates some start-ups may become future suppliers to EGA.
