Economic Content Creators Programme Advances Storytelling Techniques In Second Week
The Economic Content Creators Programme, organised by the Dubai Press Club with support from the Ministry of Economy, continued into its second week. This phase featured expert-led lectures and workshops aimed at enhancing storytelling skills and understanding global economic dynamics. Participants explored how financial and monetary policies impact local economies, gaining insights into crafting engaging economic content.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Manager of the Dubai Press Club, praised the quality of content delivered during the programme's initial weeks. She highlighted that these efforts align with the initiative’s goal to equip digital content creators in the economic sector with essential tools for producing impactful content. Al Mulla stated, "The Dubai Press Club remains committed to enhancing the skills and competencies of content creators. Through our knowledge programmes, we aim to provide participants with the professional and technical expertise needed to excel in the job market. This initiative also seeks to strengthen the role of content creators in advancing the media landscape and boosting their global competitiveness."

The second week commenced with a session on photography essentials led by Mohammed Boosh, Production Manager at Edraak Media. This session emphasised photography as a crucial component of digital content, covering basics like lighting techniques and practical training for visual storytelling enhancement.
Another session titled Mastering Economic Journalism for Content Creators was conducted by Editor-in-Chief Lubna Fawaz and Senior Correspondent Nada Abdel Salam. They discussed economic journalism's history and impact, key creator attributes, and essentials for professional reporting. Effective storytelling techniques were also covered to simplify economic news for better digital audience engagement.
Dr. Rania Aitani from Murdoch University Dubai delivered a lecture on Analysing Global Economic Trends and Their Impact on Local Economies. The lecture delved into drivers of economic growth, global monetary policies, and crises like the 2008 mortgage crisis and COVID-19. It also explored how global markets influence local economies and technological innovation's role in economic transformation.
Khalid Al Jabri led a workshop titled ‘How to Increase Your Income as a Content Creator’. This workshop focused on income sources in content creation, strategies for maximising earnings, criteria for successful content, best practices with advertisers, and types of income-generating content.
Digital Storytelling Techniques
The programme included a session on The Art of Digital Storytelling: Research and Simplifying Complex Information in collaboration with Edraak Media Academy. Content creators Ahmed Alsabouni from Edraak Media and Raef Yousef from the academy guided participants through storytelling techniques to simplify complex economic information into compelling narratives.
Mahfoudha Abdullah from Dubai Press Club stated that this training programme aims to impart diverse knowledge that adds value to economic content creators. She noted that professionals need specialised skills to turn statistics into engaging content. Simplifying complex information is crucial for creating compelling economic stories that enhance reach.
Abdullah expressed gratitude towards organisations contributing to this tailored programme meeting participants' needs. She added that partnerships support empowering creators with world-class skills using modern media tools. The initiative aims to nurture professionals capable of enriching media sectors across various platforms.
