Dubai-Uzbekistan Business Seminar Enhances Trade And Investment Opportunities
Dubai Chambers recently hosted a significant delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade. The event was the Dubai-Uzbekistan Business Seminar, which aimed to enhance economic ties and explore trade and investment opportunities. Approximately 100 business leaders attended, including senior officials from both regions.
The seminar provided a platform for discussions on increasing bilateral trade and investments. Presentations highlighted the business landscapes in Dubai and Uzbekistan, focusing on synergies and opportunities in both markets. The event underscored the commitment to fostering economic growth through collaboration.

The non-oil trade value between Dubai and Uzbekistan saw a 66% annual increase in 2024, surpassing AED11.1 billion. Key Uzbek exports include precious stones, metals, zinc, fruit, nuts, and copper. Meanwhile, Dubai exports electronics, machinery, vehicles, precious stones, metals, perfumes, and cosmetics to Uzbekistan.
Lootah highlighted the dedication of Dubai Chambers to aiding Uzbek businesses in capitalising on Dubai's strategic advantages as a global hub. This support aims to connect them with international opportunities effectively.
Expanding Business Presence
The seminar also showcased the growing presence of Uzbek companies in Dubai. By the end of 2024, over 700 Uzbek firms were active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. This marked an impressive annual growth rate of 34.5%. In early 2025 alone, more than 60 new Uzbek companies joined the chamber.
The discussions during the event emphasised potential areas for boosting trade exchanges based on each economy's strengths. Both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation in sectors with high potential for growth.
The event concluded with optimism about future collaborations between Dubai and Uzbekistan. The continued engagement is expected to bring fresh momentum to their bilateral business relations.
