Dubai Police Unveils Comprehensive Strategy For Future Of Digital Mobility From 2025 To 2030

Dubai Police recently unveiled a new strategy for its Centre for the Future of Digital Mobility at the World Police Summit 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This strategy outlines their vision from 2025 to 2030, focusing on modernising policing mobility using advanced technologies like AI and predictive analytics.

The strategy, crafted by the General Department of Transport and Rescue, aims to reshape policing mobility across Dubai. It aligns with the "Police 5.0" model and Dubai Police’s 2031 Vision. The goal is to create a proactive, flexible, and sustainable security mobility ecosystem that can respond swiftly to future challenges.

Dubai Police's Future of Digital Mobility Strategy

Engineer Major Omar Al Khaja, Director of the Centre for the Future of Digital Mobility at Dubai Police, emphasised that innovation and digital transformation are central to this strategy. He stated that it reflects Dubai Police’s dedication to building an intelligent infrastructure for security mobility.

The strategy aligns with international best practices while supporting key national agendas such as the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, Dubai’s Smart Mobility Strategy, and the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040. "This integrated approach strengthens Dubai’s readiness for future security demands and reinforces Dubai Police’s standing as a leader in building smart, sustainable policing systems," Al Khaja added.

The roadmap consists of 18 specialised projects under four strategic pillars: Leadership in Emergency Response, Building an Innovative Security Ecosystem, Operational Foresight and Risk Anticipation, and Future-Ready National Talent. These pillars aim to enhance response times, leverage AI for smarter policing, anticipate risks through scenario planning, and equip future leaders with necessary skills.

Captain Engineer Muhammad Zainal described this strategy as a forward-looking blueprint for transforming Dubai’s security mobility landscape. "By focusing on data, AI, and adaptive governance, we aim to build a proactive, responsive mobility system capable of tackling tomorrow’s challenges with precision and flexibility," he said.

Global Collaborations

Zainal also highlighted plans to collaborate with global technology leaders like INTERPOL, Toyota Mobility, Tesla, Waymo, Microsoft, and Stanford University. These partnerships aim to accelerate innovation in policing mobility by standardising best practices and designing a flexible institutional empowerment model.

This model will include forward-looking planning tools such as virtual testing environments and advanced simulation programmes. It will also feature an agile governance system focused on phased evaluation and impact measurement.

The new strategy by Dubai Police sets a comprehensive framework for future security mobility. By integrating cutting-edge technologies with strategic collaborations globally, it aims to establish a robust system ready for upcoming challenges in policing.
