Dubai Internet City And India's NASSCOM Form Strategic Partnership For Global Innovation
On the fringes of GITEX Global 2024, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14-18, Dubai Internet City announced a pivotal partnership with the Indian National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).
This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering technology innovation and talent development within the region's largest technology hub. The synergy between these two entities aims to leverage the strengths of Dubai Internet City, a part of TECOM Group’s network of ten dedicated business communities in Dubai, to bolster the growth and expansion of Indian tech companies in the UAE.

This strategic partnership extends numerous benefits to NASSCOM affiliates eager to broaden their horizons. These include the chance to engage with the vibrant ecosystem of Dubai Internet City, which hosts over 3,500 leading regional and global corporate clients, including giants like Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia, alongside a community of more than 29,000 technology professionals. Such a collaborative environment is conducive to fostering innovation and exploring groundbreaking technology solutions.
Moreover, the alliance between Dubai Internet City and NASSCOM, which represents over 3,000 member companies, underscores the mutual commitment to nurturing a globally connected technology ecosystem. The partnership will explore support for joint R&D projects, aiming to drive innovation and develop pioneering technology solutions with a global impact. Affiliated companies will also gain access to workshops organized by Dubai Internet City and the D/Quarters co-working space, ensuring they benefit from world-class standards set by TECOM Group.
Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of TECOM Group – Commercial Sector and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City, underlined the importance of this alliance during the signing. He emphasized that the agreement lays down a solid foundation for technology exchange and investment, enabling companies in both markets to explore new growth avenues. This strategic move not only seeks to empower a new generation of entrepreneurs and innovators but also to enrich the technology sectors of both the UAE and India through shared experiences and joint cooperation.
Al Malik highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, "Dubai Internet City's collaboration with the Indian Association is a testament to our long history of collaboration, success, and entrepreneurial spirit that has been the cornerstone of fruitful bilateral relations between the UAE and India for five decades." Al Malik further emphasized the role of government strategies in providing a roadmap for a promising future, akin to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Shivendra Singh, Vice President and Global Trade Officer at NASSCOM, echoed Al Malik’s sentiments. He pointed out the partnership’s role in accelerating the entrance of Indian technology companies into the Middle East.
