Dubai International Chamber Establishes New Representative Office In Bogotá, Colombia To Enhance Trade Relations
Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has opened a new office in Bogotá, Colombia. This move aims to boost economic ties and enhance trade and investment between Dubai and Colombia. The Bogotá office is the 33rd international representative office for the chamber. This expansion is part of the 'Dubai Global' initiative, which plans to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030.
The 'Dubai Global' initiative seeks to reinforce Dubai's role as a global business hub. It aims to attract foreign direct investment and support Dubai-based companies in expanding into 30 key markets globally. The Bogotá office will help strengthen economic connections between Dubai and Colombia.

In 2023, non-oil trade between Dubai and Colombia reached AED1.9 billion, showing a significant growth of over 51% compared to the previous year. By the end of September this year, 131 Colombian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The Bogotá office will play a crucial role in supporting businesses in both regions. It will foster collaboration with Colombian businesses and build partnerships with key stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
The new office will promote Dubai's competitive advantages and share investment insights with Colombian companies looking to enter the Dubai market. It will also assist these companies in using Dubai as a gateway for global expansion.
Additionally, the Bogotá office will provide guidance to Dubai-based companies planning to expand into Colombia. It will offer market insights, highlight trade opportunities, and connect them with reliable stakeholders and potential partners in Colombia.
Leadership's Vision
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, commented on the new office: "We are committed to expanding our global network of offices to enhance Dubai's trade and investment ties internationally and consolidate its position as a leading business destination across all sectors."
Lootah emphasised that Latin American markets present significant opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade and investments. The Bogotá office is expected to be instrumental in achieving these goals by supporting businesses from both regions.
This strategic move aligns with efforts to attract foreign direct investment into Dubai while aiding local companies in exploring promising global markets. The focus on Latin America highlights its potential for enhancing bilateral trade relations.
