Dubai International Chamber has opened a new office in Toronto, Canada. This move aims to strengthen economic relations and boost trade and investments between Dubai and Canada. The office was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Maninder Sidhu, Canada's Minister of International Trade, Eng. The Toronto office is the first in North America under the ‘Dubai Global’ initiative. This initiative plans to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030. The chamber's expanding global network will benefit from this strategic location. Al Mansoori stated, "The launch of our new office in Toronto marks a significant milestone in strengthening the economic ties between Dubai and Canada."

The Toronto office will act as a crucial hub for businesses in both regions. It will engage with Canadian businesses and form partnerships with public and private stakeholders. The aim is to promote Dubai's advantages as a global business hub. The chamber’s team will provide market intelligence and support for Canadian companies entering Dubai.

Canadian companies will receive practical assistance to grow their presence in Dubai. Similarly, Dubai-based businesses looking to enter the Canadian market will get targeted insights. They will also be connected with reliable local partners for smooth market entry.

The opening comes amid strong business ties between Canada and Dubai. Non-oil bilateral trade exceeded AED10.2 billion last year. By the end of 2024, 4,112 Canadian companies were active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, marking a 29% annual growth.

This positive trend continued into 2025 with 289 new Canadian companies joining in the first quarter alone. The Toronto office aims to further enhance these growing relations by facilitating investment flows and opening new trade channels.

Al Mansoori emphasized that the new office would serve as a strategic platform for connecting businesses and facilitating investments. He added that it would help Canadian businesses leverage Dubai’s strategic location as a gateway to global growth.

The chamber's efforts reflect its commitment to fostering economic collaboration between the two regions. By providing valuable resources and support, it aims to create opportunities for mutual growth and success.
