Dubai Holding Acquires Jumeirah Mallorca To Expand European Hospitality Portfolio
Dubai Holding has acquired the five-star Jumeirah Mallorca in Spain, adding another luxury asset to its international hospitality portfolio. The property will remain under the management of Jumeirah, Dubai Holding’s flagship hospitality brand, as the Group continues to target high-quality hotel investments in key global markets.
The transaction aligns with Dubai Holding’s strategy to build a diversified and resilient global portfolio. The Group now owns 34 hotels and resorts worldwide, while Jumeirah operates 29 properties across major destinations, supporting both companies’ expansion in luxury hospitality and strengthening links between Middle East capital and European leisure markets.

Jumeirah Mallorca has been operated successfully by Jumeirah for several years and will continue under the same management arrangement following the acquisition. Dubai Holding plans fresh investment in the property to enhance the overall product offering, with the aim of positioning Jumeirah Mallorca as one of Jumeirah’s flagship Mediterranean destinations.
The resort is located on the northwest coast of Mallorca and has 121 rooms. Guests have panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. Jumeirah Mallorca holds LEED Platinum certification, which signals strong performance on energy use, environmental standards and sustainability practices across the property.
Dubai Holding Hospitality’s ownership portfolio now totals 34 hotels and resorts after the Jumeirah Mallorca acquisition. This includes five Jumeirah-branded hotels across Europe, together with other luxury and upper-upscale properties, such as Bvlgari Hotel Dubai and a broad food and beverage offering that supports the Group’s wider tourism and lifestyle strategy.
Dubai Holding and Jumeirah’s expanding footprint spans more than 30 countries, covering both gateway cities and leisure resorts. Jumeirah’s existing network includes properties in London and Capri, while Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland is scheduled to open soon. These additions are designed to reinforce the brand’s position in global luxury hospitality.

The Jumeirah Mallorca acquisition supports Jumeirah’s long-term ambition to become "the world’s most influential hospitality brand". The strengthened presence in Europe’s leading leisure destinations is aligned with a strategy to focus on locations with strong demand from international travellers, including guests from the Middle East and other long-haul source markets.
Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Holding, said, "This acquisition represents a strategic addition to our growing global hospitality portfolio and underscores our commitment to invest in high-quality assets that enhance long-term value for Dubai Holding. Jumeirah Mallorca embodies the exceptional standards and guest experience associated with both Dubai Holding Hospitality and Jumeirah. As we continue to expand our footprint in world-class destinations, we remain focused on optimising performance across our portfolio and creating sustainable value through disciplined growth."
Through the Jumeirah Mallorca purchase, Dubai Holding deepens its presence in the Mediterranean while maintaining Jumeirah as operator. The move supports the Group’s long-term strategy, strengthens Jumeirah’s European network and links new investment with clear sustainability credentials, reflecting how both organisations are deploying capital across global hospitality assets.
