Dubai DET And Emirates Unite To Strengthen Trade, Tourism, And Investment
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Emirates, aiming to amplify Dubai's position as a premier destination for trade, tourism, and investment on the global stage. This collaboration is set to leverage the strengths of both entities in promoting the city's economic agenda, D33, and enhancing its appeal as a top choice for business and leisure activities.
The agreement was inked at the Arabian Travel Market event, witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, alongside Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of DET. The signatories were Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Issam Kazim highlighted the role of visionary leadership in driving partnerships aimed at achieving Dubai's ambitious D33 objectives. He emphasized the strengthened collaboration between DET and Emirates, which is expected to enhance Dubai's global outreach and attract business audiences worldwide. Kazim also pointed out the significant contribution of Emirates’ global network to Dubai’s tourism and economic growth.
Adnan Kazim expressed commitment towards boosting Dubai’s status as a global economic hub. He mentioned plans to increase Dubai’s visibility across Emirates’ network spanning over 140 cities through various promotional activities. The partnership aims to support the leadership’s vision of doubling Dubai’s economy size within the next decade and securing its position among the top three global cities.
The partnership will focus on promoting Dubai’s dynamic business ecosystem, strategic geographical location, exceptional connectivity, business-friendly policies, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and innovation-driven economy. It targets corporates, multinational companies, prominent family businesses, and global investors, showcasing Dubai as an ideal hub for tapping into burgeoning economies.
Initiatives under this partnership include marketing campaigns to highlight Dubai as a key transit point for cargo and passengers, access to services and solutions for global logistics operations, sharing market insights to build awareness about Dubai as a business hub, and hosting events to foster international business community relationships. Emirates will also serve as the ‘Preferred Airline Partner’ at these global exhibitions and conferences.
This strategic alliance between DET and Emirates is poised to significantly contribute to achieving the goals set forth in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, further solidifying Dubai's reputation as a leading destination for business and leisure alike.
