Dubai Customs And DP World Collaborate To Offer Scholarship Programmes For Emirati Youth
A total of 32 Emirati students have been selected for specialised academic scholarships initiated by Dubai Customs in partnership with DP World for the 2024-2025 academic year. These candidates were chosen after meeting specific programme criteria and requirements. The selection process involved over 500 applications, with interviews conducted for about 100 candidates, leading to the final selection of 32 individuals.
Dubai Customs is committed to supporting both students and its employees in pursuing education in high-quality disciplines. The aim is to prepare them for careers in logistics and customs. Through these programmes, participants gain insights into business management, international trade, logistics services, and supply chain management.

Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World Group and Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, expressed satisfaction with the interest shown by young Emiratis. He highlighted that these programmes are designed to develop national talent and empower them to contribute to the country's economic growth. "These programmes provide opportunities for young people to demonstrate their capabilities and prepare for entry into the job market," he stated.
Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, commended the enrolled Emirati youth. He encouraged them to maintain academic excellence and seek knowledge from various sources to enhance their qualifications and professional experience. This approach aims to advance their career paths significantly.
The scholarship initiatives include a Bachelor's degree in Global Trade, Customs, and Logistics for high school graduates. Additionally, there is a Master's degree available in Business Administration, Digital Commerce, and Supply Chain Management. These programmes are designed in collaboration with strategic partners.
Mohammed Al Ghaffari, Executive Director of Human Resources Division at Dubai Customs, remarked on the importance of preparing young talent for leadership roles across various sectors. "We congratulate the scholarship candidates as they embark on the new academic year," he said.
