Dubai Culture Celebrates Emirati Creativity During The 53rd Eid Al Etihad Festivities
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority is hosting a variety of events to mark the 53rd Eid Al Etihad. These activities, scheduled from 2nd to 4th December, aim to celebrate UAE's rich heritage and history. The events will take place across cultural and heritage sites, reflecting Dubai Culture's dedication to promoting national identity within the community.
On 29th November, Al Safa Art and Design Library will feature artistic and musical performances. Workshops will highlight local talent and Emirati culture. Visitors can participate in a 'Dukhoon Making' workshop, crafting traditional incense by mixing raw perfumes with other ingredients. Additional activities include Emirati flag-weaving, Arabic calligraphy workshops, and henna design experiences.

From 2nd to 4th December, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and Hatta Heritage Village will host folkloric and musical performances by local troupes. Children will enjoy entertainment tailored for them, while families can savour dishes from local restaurants and shops. These events aim to provide an immersive cultural experience for all visitors.
Al Shindagha Museum will illuminate in UAE flag colours, creating a captivating visual display. The museum will offer cultural activities, including interactive workshops inspired by local heritage. Visitors can engage in traditional crafts such as dukhoon and jewellery making, among other creative experiences.
The Etihad Museum will celebrate UAE’s founding values with vibrant activities highlighting hospitality, unity, art, culture, tolerance, heritage, tradition, innovation, and sustainability. Guests can explore Emirati heritage through interactive experiences like crafting patterns inspired by Sadu weaving or participating in a planting workshop symbolising sustainability.
Culinary enthusiasts can customise traditional dates with various toppings while exploring food kiosks offering local and international delicacies. Throughout the festivities, traditional Al Ayyala and Al Harbiya dances along with oud performances will create an unforgettable cultural experience for all attendees.
Dubai Airports Celebrations
Dubai Culture is also involved in celebrations organised by Dubai Airports under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum on 28th November. At its pavilion, Dubai Culture will present exhibits showcasing the pearl-opening profession—a trade significant to ancestors as a source of livelihood for many years.
The Authority will organise the Pearl Diving exhibition alongside various heritage competitions for Dubai Airports' visitors. This initiative aims to highlight the historical significance of pearl diving in UAE's culture and economy.
Artist Hazem Kurdali will create a mural titled ‘Mural of Union: Zayed and Rashid,’ inspired by a historic image of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Chef Soumaya will guide visitors through a culinary journey featuring authentic Emirati cuisine flavours.
