Dubai Chambers Highlights Investment Opportunities For 20 Kazakh Companies In Bilateral Trade Meeting

Dubai Chambers recently hosted a delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Nursultan Shokanov, Chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty. The visit aimed to highlight Dubai's competitive edge and investment opportunities while exploring ways to enhance economic and trade ties between the two regions.

The Kazakh delegation comprised CEOs and senior executives from 20 companies across various sectors such as real estate, construction, agriculture, IT, and education. They engaged in B2B meetings with UAE-based firms to foster bilateral trade and joint investments.

Dubai Chambers Welcomes Kazakh Companies for Investment

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasised Dubai's role as a growth platform for Kazakh companies. He stated, "Dubai offers diverse opportunities across key sectors and serves as a platform for growth and prosperity for companies from Kazakhstan and around the world."

Lootah further expressed commitment to enhancing partnerships between Dubai and Kazakhstan's business communities. He noted that Dubai Chambers supports Kazakh businesses in leveraging the emirate's dynamic environment to forge new partnerships that boost trade and investment flows.

The meeting coincided with increasing trade relations between Dubai and Kazakhstan. Non-oil bilateral trade grew by 43% year-over-year, reaching AED20 billion in 2024. This reflects the strengthening economic ties between the two regions.

In 2024, Dubai Chamber of Commerce welcomed 247 new Kazakh companies as members. This increased the total number of active Kazakh members to 691 by year's end, marking a 34.4% rise compared to 2023.

Expanding International Presence

To further strengthen economic ties, Dubai International Chamber opened a representative office in Almaty in 2024. This office plays a crucial role in supporting Kazakh businesses and attracting investors from Kazakhstan and Central Asia to Dubai.

The growing interest among Kazakh businesses in Dubai underscores the emirate's appeal as an investment hub. The new office aims to facilitate business interactions and support mutual growth objectives.

This collaboration highlights both regions' commitment to fostering economic development through strategic partnerships and shared goals.
