Dubai Chamber Members Achieve Record Exports And Re-Exports Exceeding AED 300 Billion In 2024
Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of Dubai Chambers, has shared its achievements for 2024. By the end of last year, active membership reached 258,318, marking an 18% increase from 2023. Additionally, 70,500 new companies joined the chamber, showing a 3% rise compared to the previous year. This growth underscores Dubai's appeal as a prime location for businesses and investors.
The chamber's members saw their exports and re-exports surpass AED 300 billion for the first time since its inception. This represented a 9.2% annual growth, reaching AED 309.6 billion. Furthermore, the chamber issued 791,115 Certificates of Origin during this period, reflecting an 8% increase. The issuance and receipt of ATA Carnets for goods totaled 5,357 with a value of AED 4.3 billion.

Throughout the year, Dubai Chamber of Commerce worked with Business Groups to review 107 laws and draft laws. Their recommendations had a 58% adoption rate. The chamber held 177 meetings with Business Groups and Councils and coordinated 27 meetings between these groups and government entities. Nine new Business Councils were established in 2024 for investors from countries like Greece and South Korea.
The chamber handled 171 mediation cases in 2024, a rise of 21.3% from the previous year's total of 141 cases. Of these cases received last year, an impressive 88% were successfully resolved. Additionally, the chamber organised 38 legal awareness workshops attended by representatives from various sectors to ensure compliance with business regulations.
To boost corporate sustainability standards, Dubai Chamber launched a new ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) label last year through its Centre for Responsible Business. This label helps companies evaluate their ESG readiness and maturity while recognising their achievements in sustainable growth. In total, 27 companies received this ESG label in 2024.
The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses conducted four training programs last year with participation from 90 individuals. It also hosted five sessions as part of its Governance Series with attendance from 226 participants and released four toolkits on family business topics. Moreover, the first group graduated from the inaugural cycle of the Dubai Family Business Management Programme.

Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers stated: "Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum...Dubai is continuing to consolidate its position as a prominent global business hub." He emphasised that Dubai is enhancing its integrated business-friendly environment.
He further added: "Building on the strong partnership between the public and private sectors...the chamber is continuing to play a pivotal role in supporting economic growth." He highlighted how this partnership advances business interests and creates opportunities locally and globally.
Sustainability Week Focus
The chamber's Sustainability Week in 2024 attracted participation from over 526 business community members. Organised by the Centre for Responsible Business, it featured sessions on digitalisation's role in sustainable practices through artificial intelligence contributions.
The chamber's efforts reflect its commitment to fostering a robust business environment while promoting sustainability across various sectors within Dubai’s dynamic economy.
