DMT Launches New Value Housing Programme To Improve Living Standards In Abu Dhabi
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has introduced a Value Housing Programme to enhance the real estate market in the emirate. This initiative, launched in phases, aims to elevate living standards for individuals and families, promoting social integration and community bonds. These elements are crucial to the Year of Community.
To ensure high-quality yet affordable housing, DMT has partnered with Sdeira Group, previously known as KEZAD Communities. This collaboration involves developing residential units and commercial assets. Sdeira Group was chosen due to its strong reputation in Abu Dhabi and expertise in real estate, investment, and asset management.

DMT also signed an MoU with Central Holding Group (CHG), a prominent firm in investment, asset management, and real estate. CHG's selection is based on its successful real estate development strategies both locally and internationally. The partnership aims to integrate advanced technologies into their projects.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of DMT, highlighted that these agreements aim to create vibrant neighbourhoods setting new quality benchmarks. He stated: "These partnerships underscore our dedication to delivering housing solutions that adhere to our principles of inclusivity and sustainability. They are a crucial step in addressing the growing demand for housing in the Emirate, while improving living standards and providing avenues for everyone to access housing that enhances their well-being."
The collaboration between DMT and CHG seeks to leverage global experience for effective affordable housing solutions across Abu Dhabi. By sharing knowledge and driving collaboration, they aim to amplify the impact of these initiatives.
DMT is committed to working with investors, developers, and partners to explore new opportunities within the Value Housing Programme. Through strategic partnerships, it aims to drive sustained growth and reshape Abu Dhabi's real estate sector by offering diverse housing options for all societal segments.
These efforts align with maintaining high liveability standards in the Emirate. Notably, Abu Dhabi has been recognised as the most liveable city in the MENA region by the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Liveability Index 2024.
