DMCC Reports Significant 7% Growth In US Companies Joining Dubai's Trade Hub

DMCC, a prominent international business hub in Dubai, has reported a 7% increase in US companies joining its district over the past year. This growth solidifies DMCC's status as a key trade centre for American firms aiming to expand into rapidly growing markets. Currently, DMCC hosts over 45% of the approximately 1,500 American companies operating in the UAE.

The surge in American businesses aligns with the broader trade momentum following US President Donald Trump's visit to the UAE in May. During this visit, strategic agreements worth US$200 billion were signed across sectors like AI, energy, defence, and aviation. These deals have opened new avenues for American enterprises in the region.

DMCC Sees 7% Growth in US Companies

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, remarked on the significance of President Trump's visit. "President Trump’s recent visit to the UAE – part of the first official foreign visit of his second term – marks a new chapter in economic collaboration between the UAE and United States. With bilateral trade reaching US$34.4 billion in 2024, there is significant trade and investment momentum as well as appetite among American businesses to set up in Dubai and tap into global markets."

DMCC's reputation as an international business district continues to attract companies globally. Currently, nearly 26,000 companies operate within its district, including over 700 from the United States. This diverse business environment enhances DMCC's appeal to international investors and entrepreneurs.

Building on this momentum, DMCC recently concluded its Made For Trade Live series across New York City, Brooklyn, and Miami. These events brought together 150 business leaders from sectors such as technology, financial services, commodities, and advanced manufacturing. The initiative aims to draw more American companies and investments to Dubai.

The strategic agreements signed during President Trump's visit highlight a new era of economic cooperation between the UAE and the US. These developments have increased commercial opportunities for American businesses looking to establish a presence in Dubai.

The continuous growth of American companies within DMCC reflects their confidence in Dubai's potential as a gateway to global markets. As trade relations strengthen between the UAE and US, more businesses are expected to explore opportunities within this dynamic region.

The conclusion of these high-impact events underscores DMCC's commitment to fostering international trade partnerships. By attracting diverse industries to its district, DMCC continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating global commerce through Dubai.
