‘Donate Your Own Device’ Campaign Collects Over 32,000 Devices For Global Student Support

The Digital School, under the umbrella of Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives, recently celebrated the remarkable achievement of its "Donate Your Own Device" campaign. This initiative successfully gathered over 32,000 used electronic devices, announced on Global Recycling Day. These devices, ranging from computers and tablets to smartphones and projectors, are set to be refurbished and recycled. The aim is to bolster digital education for underprivileged students across the globe, aligning with both humanitarian and environmental objectives.

Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital School, lauded the campaign's success and its synergy with various partners. He underscored the pivotal role of digital education and how this campaign dovetails with the UAE's sustainability and international cooperation ambitions. Rashid Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), echoed these sentiments, praising the campaign's widespread support and reaffirming ERC's dedication to fostering smart education in less affluent nations.
