Digital Dubai Hosts Suppliers Connect To Enhance Partnerships At GITEX Global 2025

Digital Dubai recently held its annual Suppliers Connect event during GITEX Global 2025, focusing on "Digitalising Life in Dubai and Future Foresight." This gathering brought together representatives from key local and international companies. The initiative underscores Digital Dubai’s commitment to fostering collaboration with the private sector through a comprehensive procurement ecosystem. This system is built on strategic partnerships across three supplier categories: strategic, vital, and operational, all aimed at boosting innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

The event highlighted the evolution of Digital Dubai’s digital procurement ecosystem. This model encompasses every stage of the procurement cycle, from registration and qualification to contract management and performance evaluation. It aims to promote transparency, foster innovation, and establish long-term partnerships beyond traditional frameworks.

Suppliers Connect Event at GITEX Global 2025

Tariq Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, honoured several distinguished partners for their contributions to the emirate’s digital transformation journey. He was joined by senior officials Meshal Al Hammadi and Mohammed Al Shaqsi. Al Janahi stated that the Suppliers Connect event embodies Digital Dubai’s vision of uniting public and private sectors to build a sustainable digital future.

Al Janahi emphasised that suppliers are seen as genuine partners who share a passion for innovation. He noted that digital transformation extends beyond technology. "Every partnership we form brings us closer to realising Dubai’s vision as a city powered by data and artificial intelligence, where smart algorithms and human intelligence work together to shape tomorrow," he said.

The event also focused on enhancing contract transparency, efficiency, and joint innovation platforms. Discussions centred around aligning government and private sector strategies to explore new opportunities within Dubai’s digital economy. The aim is to position Dubai as a global testbed for innovative solutions that enhance quality of life.

Al Janahi added that the Authority’s vision is based on the concept of ‘City as a Service,’ ensuring a connected city where every service is unified, seamless, and personalised. Achieving this requires strong collaboration across all sectors.

Outstanding suppliers honoured at the event included notable organisations such as Dubai World Trade Centre, Gartner Gulf, e& Group, du, Microsoft Gulf, Oracle, PwC Middle East, Alpha Data, WSO2, Amplitude, Tecom Investments, and Al Wegdaniyah Transport Solutions.

The event reaffirmed Digital Dubai’s dedication to empowering suppliers and partners as essential contributors to the emirate’s digital transformation journey. It also highlighted efforts towards building a sustainable and inclusive ecosystem that enhances well-being and improves life in Dubai.
