DIAC And Paris-Panthéon-Assas University Collaborate On Strategic Partnership For ADR Education

The Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and Paris-Panthéon-Assas University have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to enhance education in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), facilitate knowledge exchange, and boost research initiatives in international arbitration. The collaboration will focus on developing training programmes, organising joint events, and conducting research to increase awareness and understanding within the legal community.

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, known as France’s first and oldest law university, is a member of the 4EU+ European University Alliance. It boasts over 23,000 students and 1,500 professors across campuses in France, the UAE, Singapore, and Mauritius. This partnership with DIAC leverages the university's rich history alongside DIAC's three decades of expertise in ADR.

The MoU outlines several strategic initiatives aimed at promoting arbitration and legal excellence globally. These include creating specialised arbitration training programmes and hosting collaborative events. Such efforts are expected to strengthen the legal community's understanding of arbitration processes and contribute to the development of future leaders in this field.

Dr Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of DIAC's Board of Directors, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. Together, we are committed to advancing the field of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution by fostering knowledge exchange and developing the next generation of leaders."
