DCT Abu Dhabi Participates In ITB Berlin 2026 To Promote Culture-led Travel
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi will participate at ITB Berlin 2026 from 3-5 March 2026, aiming to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for culture-led travel by engaging core industry partners and showcasing the emirate’s broad cultural and tourism offer.
DCT Abu Dhabi plans to use ITB Berlin 2026 to deepen cooperation with international travel trade partners. The organisation and its stakeholders will discuss new joint programmes that reflect Abu Dhabi’s evolving tourism proposition, with a focus on culture, education, and meaningful visitor experiences across the emirate.

At ITB Berlin 2026, DCT Abu Dhabi will highlight trade tools designed to support global partners. The Experience Abu Dhabi Experts e-learning platform offers detailed destination training and certification for travel professionals, while the Abu Dhabi Pass reseller portal provides wholesale rates and streamlined booking options to help agents widen their Abu Dhabi product range.
Meaningful experiences will sit at the heart of the message, with Saadiyat Cultural District Abu Dhabi presented as a hub for culture-led travel. Its museums and institutions invite visitors to learn about stories from the UAE and the wider world, and to uncover historical connections that shaped creativity and innovation over time.
Zayed National Museum, one of the latest additions to Saadiyat Cultural District Abu Dhabi, presents the history of the UAE from ancient times to the present and honours the legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his commitment to cultural heritage, education, identity, and belonging.
The recently opened Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi provides a 13.8-billion-year narrative of the universe, from meteorites and fossils to future environmental scenarios, framed through an Arabian perspective. Beyond Saadiyat Island, institutions such as the newly reopened Al Ain Museum underline Abu Dhabi’s long-term commitment to safeguarding and sharing its heritage.
The 2026 edition of ITB Berlin coincides with Ramadan, a key period in the Islamic calendar, and DCT Abu Dhabi’s delegation will inform visitors about this significant annual religious event. The Holy Month is considered one of the most atmospheric times to experience Abu Dhabi’s local traditions, daily life, architecture, and spiritual and communal practices.
During ITB Berlin 2026, media and travel professionals will be invited to discover Abu Dhabi’s cultural landmarks at the DCT Abu Dhabi stand, which will feature interactive activations and visual displays of major institutions, offering a concise preview of the emirate’s cultural assets and reinforcing its status as a leading centre for culture-led travel.
