Crown Prince Of Abu Dhabi And Prime Minister Of Singapore Attend MoU Exchanges To Enhance Bilateral Cooperation
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of Singapore, participated in a ceremony to exchange memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between UAE and Singaporean entities. These agreements aim to enhance cooperation in various sectors.
The event featured an MoU on public service collaboration between the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs' Office of Government Development and the Future and Singapore's Public Service Department. This agreement focuses on sharing expertise and knowledge in public service.
An MoU was also exchanged between the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi and Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development. This aims to promote knowledge-sharing, expertise exchange, and research in social and family development areas.
Another significant MoU involved the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi and Singapore’s Civil Service College. This agreement is designed to enhance civil service development and support competency-building in both nations.
The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi partnered with the National University of Singapore, representing AI Singapore, through an MoU. This collaboration aims to support AI initiatives, develop talent, and facilitate expertise exchange in advanced technology between the two countries.
Additionally, an MoU was signed between the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi and the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. The focus is on teaching, research collaboration, expertise exchange, and co-developing executive education programmes for Abu Dhabi government officials.
Nuclear Energy Cooperation
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) exchanged an MoU with Singapore’s Energy Markets Authority. This agreement seeks to enhance cooperation in developing peaceful nuclear energy between the UAE and Singapore.
In education, the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) signed an MoU with Singapore’s National Institute of Education (NIE International). This is part of the Strategic Framework for Educational Excellence's second phase. It aims to strengthen educational partnerships, promote innovative teaching methods, and develop competencies in both countries.
Arbitration Collaboration
The Abu Dhabi Global Market Arbitration Centre partnered with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre through an MoU. This agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation in arbitration and dispute resolution while facilitating expertise exchange in these fields.
Several dignitaries attended the ceremony including Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak; Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai; Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa; Ahmed Tamim Al Kuttab; Saif Saeed Ghobash; Jamal Abdulla Al Suwaidi; along with senior officials from Singapore's government.
Investment Opportunities
Mubadala Capital signed an MoU with Seviora Holdings during H.H. Sheikh Khaled's visit to explore new investment opportunities in areas of mutual interest.
In higher education, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) collaborated with the National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy through an MoU. The focus is on promoting research collaboration, policy development, and data analysis initiatives.
