Construction Begins On Pure Ice Cream’s AED 80 Million Facility In Dubai Industrial City
Dubai Industrial City, a division of TECOM Group PJSC, recently hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for Pure Ice Cream's new facility. The event was attended by Mohammed Shael Al Saadi, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade, along with key figures from the industrial and food sectors. This AED80 million project is set to become one of the UAE’s largest ice cream manufacturing plants by 2026.
The facility will cover 160,000 square feet and aims to increase Pure Ice Cream’s production capacity to 50 million litres annually. "Dubai Industrial City’s ecosystem is geared to strengthen the supply chain of ‘Made in UAE’ products for long-term economic prosperity," stated Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group PJSC. "Pure Ice Cream’s facility reflects the country’s strength as an international food production hub, and we champion manufacturers to contribute towards Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, and National Food Security Strategy 2051."

The new plant will incorporate solar power and biodegradable packaging for its three-gallon product line. These initiatives align with Pure Ice Cream's goal of achieving carbon neutrality. The project is expected to create 60 new jobs once completed. Gaurav Ghai, Chairman of Graviss Group, expressed enthusiasm about the venture: "We are looking forward to building the largest ice cream plant in GCC and exporting products to over 20 countries from Dubai."
During the SIAL Paris international food and beverage exhibition in October 2024, Pure Ice Cream signed a musataha agreement with Dubai Industrial City. This agreement underscores their commitment to expanding operations within this strategic location.
The development aligns with several national strategies aimed at boosting local manufacturing capabilities. By supporting initiatives like Operation 300bn and Make it in the Emirates, Pure Ice Cream contributes significantly to these goals. The facility also supports Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ and National Food Security Strategy 2051.
As part of Graviss Group, Pure Ice Cream is poised to enhance its market presence through this expansion. The focus on sustainability and increased production capacity positions them well for future growth.
This initiative highlights Dubai's role as a global hub for food production. It also demonstrates how local companies can leverage strategic partnerships to achieve ambitious goals.
