Chinese Business Delegation Explores Investment Prospects In Ras Al Khaimah
A recent delegation comprising 34 Chinese business owners embarked on a strategic visit to Ras Al Khaimah, aiming to delve into the vibrant business landscape and investment prospects within the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ). This initiative underscores the burgeoning economic ties and mutual interest in fostering deeper business relations between China and the United Arab Emirates.
Throughout their visit, the delegation explored the advanced facilities of U-PAK and Mabani Steel located in RAKEZ’s Al Hamra Industrial Zone. Engagements with key stakeholders from Ras Al Khaimah Port and leading real estate developers such as Marjan and RAK Properties provided valuable insights into the zone's sophisticated infrastructure and conducive business environment.

Ramy Jallad, RAKEZ Group CEO, expressed enthusiasm about hosting Chinese businesses, highlighting the visit as a testament to the strong historical connections and a gateway to future collaborations and investments. With 220 Chinese companies already flourishing within RAKEZ, Jallad reaffirmed the commitment to enhancing services to support international enterprises in their expansion endeavors.
The discussions during the visit spanned various sectors, including additive manufacturing (vehicles and machinery), agriculture, transportation, ICT, travel and tourism, as well as insurance and finance. Notable Chinese enterprises within RAKEZ include Mohamed Plastic Waste Recycling, Zul Energy Middle East, Winbo Holding, and Nova Machinery, showcasing the diverse industrial presence in the zone.
This visit is pivotal in highlighting the UAE’s strategic role in China’s global trade strategy, celebrating over four decades of robust bilateral relations. As China’s largest trading partner in the Arab region, the UAE significantly contributes to re-exporting Chinese trade to over 400 cities across the Middle East and North Africa. In a move to further solidify these ties, RAKEZ representatives are currently engaging in strategic discussions in China and are preparing to host more Chinese entrepreneurs, government officials, and media representatives in Ras Al Khaimah.
The ongoing collaboration between RAKEZ and Chinese businesses not only strengthens economic ties but also positions Ras Al Khaimah as a dynamic hub for international business. This initiative is a clear indication of both regions' commitment to leveraging their strategic positions for mutual growth and prosperity in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
