BRIDGE Summit 2025 concluded its inaugural edition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, transforming the UAE capital into a hub for media, content, and entertainment. Held from December 8 to 10, the event laid the groundwork for a new global media ecosystem. It explored storytelling evolution, content industries, and AI governance amid rapid digital advancements.

The summit attracted over 40,000 participants from 182 countries. Its live broadcast on X garnered 57.5 million views across 190 countries. Notably, viewership included 11.7 million from the United States and significant numbers from Japan, the UK, France, Indonesia, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia.

The summit's official app became the top business app in the UAE Apple Store during the event. It recorded 5.4 million interactions and facilitated over a thousand meetings. The summit's website registered 67,000 participants, highlighting its international momentum in the media landscape.

Abdulla bin Mohamed bin Butti Al Hamed chaired over 38 bilateral meetings with international institutions and leading companies in media and technology. These discussions aimed to build strategic partnerships supporting a new media ecosystem. This outreach expanded the summit's global network.

The event resulted in 48 MoUs and commercial agreements between international and local entities. A notable partnership involved Archeo Futurus, Trillium Technologies, and Daywalker Global committing USD 200 million to establish a media innovation center in Abu Dhabi by 2026.

The summit also fostered connections across generations with youth participation in discussions with industry leaders. Seven content tracks linked traditionally isolated sectors like Media with Creator Economy and Gaming with Marketing.

AI's Role in Media Evolution

AI technologies were central to discussions about future media operations. Participants emphasized flexible regulatory frameworks for responsible AI use while preserving human creativity in storytelling.

Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi highlighted that BRIDGE Summit provided a platform for journalists and decision-makers to exchange views on balanced media directions. He noted that it supported new economic ecosystems based on innovation and digital ownership.

Focus on Information Integrity

The summit addressed information integrity as a pressing global challenge. Discussions focused on shared mechanisms to combat misinformation and ensure access to reliable information.

The changing dynamics of the creator economy were also discussed, emphasizing independent ventures and diversified income streams for sustainability. Value-driven content is expected to lead this next phase of development.

Digital Economy Insights

The summit advanced conversations on Web3 and digital economy as key features of future media evolution. Sessions explored digital ownership's future, creators' rights protection, and new economic ecosystems based on decentralization.
