Bitcoin MENA Conference Concludes With Experts Charting The Future Of Digital Finance
The Bitcoin MENA conference recently wrapped up in Abu Dhabi, attracting 234 speakers from around the globe. Co-organised by ADNEC Group and BTC Inc, the event focused on Bitcoin's future and decentralised finance. Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy, delivered a keynote titled "Digital Capital, Credit, Money, and Banking," emphasising Bitcoin's growing acceptance in the U.S. and its potential as digital gold.
Saylor highlighted that major U.S. banks are now issuing credit against Bitcoin and derivatives. He described Bitcoin as "the strongest asset humanity has ever created" and encouraged the region to lead in Bitcoin-backed banking and finance. His insights set the tone for discussions on how digital assets are reshaping financial landscapes.

In a fireside chat, Binance Founder CZ discussed with Brandon Green, CEO of BTC Inc, about stepping down as CEO and shifting U.S. attitudes toward crypto. CZ noted that governments are moving from questioning what crypto is to exploring how to adopt it. This shift indicates increased engagement in regulation, consumer protection, and establishing crypto national reserves.
CZ also pointed out that the current Bitcoin cycle is distinct due to rising institutional adoption bridging grassroots crypto with Wall Street involvement. While retail adoption remains limited, he expressed optimism about institutional investment and government participation alongside advances like stablecoins and tokenisation.
The conference featured speakers from leading financial institutions and investment platforms discussing developments shaping Bitcoin’s future. Notable participants included Yoni Assia of eToro, Derar Islim of Antalpha, John Koudounis of Calamos Investments, Marwan Al Zarouni of Dubai Blockchain Center, Abdulla Al Dhaheri of Blockchain Center Abu Dhabi, and Ahmed Bin Sulayem of DMCC.
Exhibitors showcased mining technologies, digital asset exchange platforms, and advanced self-custody tools from brands such as Antalpha, Crypto.com, Bitmain, Metaplanet, and Mining Grid. These exhibits highlighted the technological advancements supporting the growth of digital assets.
New Launches at the Conference
This year introduced the Bitcoin for Corporations Symposium aimed at CFOs and finance leaders considering Bitcoin as a reserve asset. Sessions underscored accelerating institutional adoption with corporations acquiring Bitcoin at nearly four times the rate of new coin issuance.
Several product launches were announced during the event. Safebox introduced a new self-custody product allowing institutions to earn Bitcoin yield while retaining full control over their assets. Roxom launched the world’s first stock exchange fully denominated in Bitcoin, enabling investors to trade shares directly in Bitcoin without fiat systems.
The conference will return in 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi Marina Hall. It will continue focusing on investment opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and innovation as the region strengthens its role in the digital asset landscape.
