Arab Podcast Programme Launches To Empower Regional Talent In Digital Media
The second edition of the 'Arab Podcast Programme,' organised by the Dubai Press Club, kicked off with a diverse group of content creators and industry experts from the Arab world. They shared insights with young Arabs eager to make their mark in podcasting. This initiative highlights the sector's rapid growth and increasing interest in podcasting as a modern media platform.
Launched on 7 July at the Dubai Press Club, this programme offers five weeks of intensive training. Charbel Issa, a certified trainer from Podeo, leads these sessions. Participants learn fundamental concepts and gain new skills through practical modules. The programme aims to support Arabic podcasting's growth and contribute to a dynamic digital media landscape.

The opening week attracted many young participants from across the Arab world. They engaged in eight foundational training modules covering various podcast production stages. These included content strategy development, branding, post-production, recording quality, hosting, distribution, and marketing strategies.
Participants were introduced to podcasting fundamentals from a professional perspective. They learned basic concepts before exploring professional recording techniques, audio setup, audience trend analysis, and benchmarking audio identity. Discussions also covered global best practices in podcast production.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, noted the high engagement levels among participants during the inaugural week. She highlighted that podcasting is particularly engaging for younger audiences. "We are thrilled by the strong and enthusiastic response to the second edition of the Arab Podcast Programme," she said.
Empowering Young Creators
Al Mulla emphasised that the programme is comprehensive, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical aspects. It enables participants to develop their audio projects under experienced trainers' guidance. She added that this initiative aims to enhance Arabic content's appeal globally and provide Arab youth with modern tools for expression.
Stefano Fallaha, CEO and Founder of Podeo, expressed satisfaction with the interest generated by this programme. He stated that it strengthens Arabic audio content's presence globally. "Such targeted initiatives play a key role in equipping young Arabs with the knowledge and tools needed to produce innovative, high-quality content," he said.
Preparing for Future Stages
As participants move into the second week, they prepare initial pitches for their podcast ideas before entering stage three of the programme. Experts from The Direction Podcast, Podcast Pro, and Dubai Press Club will provide personalised feedback to refine these projects.
Hosting this programme reflects Dubai Press Club's commitment to enhancing media professionals' capabilities in the Arab region. It aligns with Dubai's role as a hub for modern Arab media enterprises and its contributions to developing an innovative media environment.
Podeo supports this mission by creating opportunities for content creators to monetise their work and transform creative ideas into impactful productions reaching wider audiences. "At Podeo," Fallaha added, "we strongly believe in hands-on training and direct experience in sharpening new creators' skills."
