Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Yamahi Condemns Gaza Hospital Attack As Violation Of Humanitarian Law
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, has denounced the Israeli occupation for its direct assault on the Baptist Hospital in Gaza. This attack has rendered the hospital completely non-operational. Al Yamahi labelled this act as a clear breach of international conventions and norms, particularly highlighting violations against international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.
Al Yamahi described this incident as part of a continuous series of systematic crimes against Palestinians. He emphasised that targeting civilian and medical facilities, which serve as humanitarian sanctuaries, crosses all boundaries. He warned about the severe consequences of ongoing international silence regarding these crimes.

The Arab Parliament Speaker urged global entities like the UN Security Council and the World Health Organization to take action. He called for immediate intervention to stop these atrocities and ensure protection for Palestinians and medical facilities in Gaza. Al Yamahi stressed that ending the ongoing genocide against civilians, especially women and children, is crucial.
He highlighted that this silence effectively grants the occupation a green light to continue its campaign. This campaign has lasted over 19 months, resulting in more than 170,000 victims, including martyrs, wounded individuals, and missing persons. Al Yamahi suggested this is part of a systematic plan to depopulate Palestinian land.
Al Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament’s steadfast support for Palestinians in their struggle for legitimate rights. These rights include life, freedom, and dignity. He also called for holding Israeli leaders accountable for actions considered war crimes under international law.
He stressed that it is vital to hold those responsible accountable for actions amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Arab Parliament remains committed to supporting Palestinians in their pursuit of justice and legitimate rights.
