Arab Parliament Condemns Israeli Prime Minister's Call For Displacement Of Palestinians
The Arab Parliament has expressed strong disapproval of statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He suggested the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza via the Rafah border crossing. The Arab Parliament views these remarks as part of Israel’s ongoing policy of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement.
Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, highlighted that such calls are illegitimate and unacceptable. They violate international law, humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and relevant UN resolutions. These actions also threaten the Palestinian people's right to remain on their land and establish an independent state.

Al Yamahi emphasised that forced displacement is a war crime with no statute of limitations. He stressed that Palestinians will resist any attempts to uproot them from their homeland. The Arab Parliament firmly rejects any efforts to displace Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, or any occupied territories.
The Arab Parliament stands against any attempts to undermine the Palestinian cause. It fully supports a unified Arab stance opposing such measures. Al Yamahi called for international intervention to halt these violations and provide protection for Palestinians.
Al Yamahi urged the global community, including the UN Security Council and United Nations, to fulfil their legal and moral responsibilities. He stressed the importance of ending incitement by Israeli leaders and supporting Palestinians' right to self-determination.
He affirmed that establishing an independent Palestinian state is essential for achieving comprehensive peace in the region. This approach ensures security and stability across the Middle East.
The Arab Parliament's condemnation highlights its commitment to defending Palestinian rights. It underscores the need for international support in addressing these serious violations and promoting peace.
