Arab Parliament Commends UAE’s Humanitarian Efforts And Relief Aid For Gaza Residents
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, has commended the United Arab Emirates for its humanitarian aid to Gaza. He highlighted a major project supplying desalinated water from Egypt to southern Gaza, aiding 600,000 people. This initiative is part of the UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, demonstrating solidarity with Palestinians.
During the Arab Parliament's plenary session at the Arab League headquarters, Al Yamahi acknowledged the participation of the President of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament. He praised Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye for their roles in achieving a ceasefire in Gaza. The agreement reached in Sharm El Sheikh is seen as a crucial step towards peace and reconstruction.

Al Yamahi emphasised that resolving the Palestinian issue is vital for the Arab world. He stated that peace can only be achieved by ending occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al Quds as its capital. He urged countries and international bodies to join an upcoming conference on Gaza reconstruction in Egypt this November.
He also stressed holding Israel accountable for its actions through international courts. Al Yamahi praised Saudi Arabia's leadership in supporting the Two-State solution conference, which has increased global recognition of Palestine. He called for unified support from Arab, Islamic, and international communities for Gaza's reconstruction and the Palestinian cause.
The Speaker highlighted Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting international recognition of Palestine through support for the Two-State solution conference. He noted that this has paved the way for broader acceptance of Palestine as a state. Al Yamahi reiterated that a unified stance is essential to mobilise resources for Gaza's rebuilding efforts.
Al Yamahi concluded by urging international organisations to hold Israel accountable for its actions against Palestinians. He stressed that justice must be pursued through competent international courts to address these issues effectively.
