Ali Al Marzouqi Earns 2025 National Academy Of Inventors Fellowship
The National Academy of Inventors has named Prof. Ali Al Marzouqi of United Arab Emirates University as a 2025 NAI Fellow, a first for the UAE and a milestone that highlights UAEU’s growing international profile in research, invention, and knowledge-based economic development.
Prof. Ali Al Marzouqi joins an elite 2025 NAI Fellowship class of 185 inventors drawn from leading universities, research centres, and government agencies around the world, underlining the global scope of the National Academy of Inventors programme.

Within the 2025 NAI Fellowship cohort, 169 fellows are based in the United States, while 16 international fellows, including Prof. Ali Al Marzouqi, represent institutions outside the country. Collectively, members of this class hold more than 5,300 granted U.S. patents across many disciplines.
The NAI Fellowship is considered the highest professional honour that the National Academy of Inventors grants specifically to inventors. The 2025 class features Nobel Prize winners, recipients of the National Medal of Science, the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, and members of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

The newly elected National Academy of Inventors fellows, including the NAI Fellowship class of 2025, work across advanced fields such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and regenerative medicine. Prof. Ali Al Marzouqi described the NAI Fellowship as a defining academic and research achievement. The National Academy of Inventors will formally recognise the 2025 NAI Fellowship class during its 15th Annual Conference, scheduled in Los Angeles, California, from 1–4 June 2026, where fellows, including Prof. Ali Al Marzouqi, are expected to receive official medals in the presence of senior United States Patent and Trademark Office representatives.
