Hazza Bin Zayed Visits Al Ain Oasis Hub, Spotlighting Cultural And Environmental Heritage
Al Ain Oasis Hub is emerging as a key leisure site in Al Ain Region, combining cultural heritage with modern community spaces across more than 23,000 square metres. The destination offers hospitality services, public amenities and curated experiences designed to reflect the region’s historic identity and support Abu Dhabi’s wider tourism and liveability goals.
During a recent visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, reviewed the development in detail. H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that Al Ain Oasis Hub contributes to enhancing quality of life by offering comprehensive amenities aligned with the historical and cultural identity of the region.
H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed was briefed on how the hub’s design supports an immersive experience rooted in the local environment. The site sits within the historic Al Ain Oasis district, close to Al Ain Museum, and aims to highlight the architectural features, landscapes and traditional systems that define Al Ain Region’s character.
The destination includes 1.2 kilometres of walkways and three themed sensory gardens, named Reflections Garden, Ripple Garden and Mist & Dry Fountain Garden. Paths and gardens are arranged to encourage walking, shade, and views across the oasis, while also supporting educational programmes focused on nature and heritage.
The hub features more than 770 newly planted trees, covering both local and international species to enhance biodiversity. Seventeen restaurants and cafés overlook green landscapes, supported by a 22-metre-tall observation deck and a 268-metre-long elevated walkway built along the palm canopy, which rises up to 4 metres above ground level.

Al Ain Oasis Hub and Al Ain Region tourism strategy
Al Ain Oasis Hub also introduces an after-dark attraction named Sura Nightscapes, which uses light and sound to interpret the historic falaj irrigation system and the oasis as a source of life. Visitors move through six themed zones titled Wayfinders, The Grove, Dunes, Everdew, Motherwell and Moon Tides.
The storytelling within Sura Nightscapes highlights natural and human heritage, while the wider project supports the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030. The strategy targets about 520,000 visitors to Al Ain Region each year by 2030, with a focus on high-quality amenities and diverse cultural and leisure experiences.
Development of Al Ain Oasis Hub results from cooperation between Al Ain City Municipality and real estate company Eagle Hills. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality, and Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, underscoring the project’s role in supporting sustainable urban growth while preserving heritage.
