Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club Dominates Final Day Of Khaled Bin Mohamed Championship
Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club emerged victorious on the final day of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship – Round 4 (Gi) at Zayed Sports Complex. Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club secured second place, while M.O.D UAE clinched third. With the fourth round concluded, Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club leads the overall Gi rankings, followed by Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club and Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club.
The championship's last day highlighted the Boys U14 and U16 divisions, with 800 young athletes fiercely competing for victory. These emerging talents, supported by family and friends, showcased impressive submissions and strategic sweeps to outmaneuver their opponents. The atmosphere was electric as they vied for top honours in their categories.

Sheikh Saeed bin Srour Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with other dignitaries, attended the event. The winners were honoured by Sheikh Saeed alongside Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi from the Crown Prince's Office of Fujairah and Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
Mohamed Hussain Al Marzooqi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, noted: "His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabiو and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the championship yesterday, and his presence had a significant impact on the event, the organisers and the athletes. It inspired the athletes to push even harder in future competitions. His Highness watched some matches, met with the athletes, and took photos with them. This visit reflects the strong support and attention that our leadership continues to give to the sport of jiu-jitsu."
Al Ain Club coach Zayed Obaid Al Kaabi expressed pride in his team's performance: "The competition today was tough, still our athletes showed great skill and tactics. We aim to achieve strong results and compete for the top spot in the championship. Our team, with 250 male and female athletes, is eager for the final round, where we’ll push harder with even more athletes."
Theyab Mohammed Almessabi from Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club celebrated his gold medal win in the 34 kg white belt category for under 14s: "I’m really happy to win my first gold medal and earn more points for my club. I had won silver in the third round of the championship in Sharjah, so this feels great. I want to thank my family for always supporting me, and my coaches and teammates at Al Ain Club."
Young Champions Aim Higher
Mubarak Eisa Almaskari from Team 777 achieved his third consecutive gold in the 45 kg white belt category for under 14s: "I won my third consecutive gold in the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship. I’m now aiming for another gold in the final round. This success is the result of hard training, effort, patience, and the support of my family and coaches."
