Al Ain To Host The Largest IMMAF Youth World Championships From July 21 To 27, 2025
The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation has revealed that the 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships will take place in Al Ain Region from 21st to 27th July 2025. This marks the first time the event will be held in this location. The Al Ain Convention Centre (ADNEC Al Ain) will host over 1,000 athletes from 60 countries, making it the largest edition yet.
The championship is organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and hosted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation for the fourth consecutive year. It serves as a global platform to discover emerging talents in mixed martial arts and strengthens the UAE's position as a leading international sports destination.

Mohammed bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, a Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, expressed pride in hosting top emerging talents globally. He stated, "We are committed to delivering an exceptional edition of the championship and take pride in hosting top emerging talents from around the world." This highlights the UAE's strong position as a prime platform for organising major international competitions.
The championship is part of a long-standing collaboration between IMMAF and the UAEJJF. An agreement was extended last year to continue hosting the event in Abu Dhabi for three more years, from 2025 to 2027. This partnership underscores the UAE's dedication to promoting sports within its borders.
Al Dhaheri further explained that Al Ain was chosen due to its historical significance, rich cultural heritage, tourist attractions, and natural landscapes. These elements complement the championship's dynamic atmosphere, offering an unparalleled experience for participants and spectators alike.
Kerrith Brown, President of IMMAF, remarked on the event's growth: "The IMMAF Youth World Championships continue to set the global benchmark for youth development in mixed martial arts, and we’re proud to see the event grow year after year." He added that bringing the championships to Al Ain marks an exciting new chapter for IMMAF.
Future Prospects for MMA
With over 1,000 youth athletes expected to compete, Brown noted that this edition would be their largest yet. "It’s a powerful statement about the future of MMA," he said. The previous editions attracted large audiences and participation from over 50 national teams, showcasing UAE's leadership support and advanced infrastructure meeting international standards.
This tournament builds on successful sporting events in the nation that have received considerable international praise. It plays an important role in efforts to expand mixed martial arts within the country by motivating local athletes to excel and earn top honours.
