Ajman And Uganda Discuss Investment Opportunities To Strengthen Economic Relations
Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, recently met with Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Uganda's Ambassador to the UAE. They discussed enhancing economic ties and boosting trade between Ajman and Uganda. The meeting took place at the Ajman Chamber headquarters and included Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber, Aisha Al Nuaimi, Director of Investment and Business Promotion Department, and a Ugandan Embassy delegation.
Al Muwaiji emphasised the chamber's dedication to fostering international cooperation to improve economic relations and attract investments in various sectors. He noted Uganda's agricultural potential and high-quality food industries as promising areas for collaboration. Textiles and other industries were also highlighted as potential partnership opportunities for investors from both regions.

A detailed presentation showcased investment prospects in Ajman, focusing on its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and business-friendly environment. The presentation also highlighted key sectors such as industry, tourism, construction, real estate, education, health, and services as promising areas for investment. These features make Ajman an attractive destination for investors seeking new opportunities.
The meeting concluded with a suggestion for joint meetings between business owners and investors from both countries. This would facilitate expertise exchange and explore potential partnerships. Ugandan investors were invited to visit Ajman to explore opportunities in the Ajman Free Zone, Al Zorah area, and other key sectors.
Kibedi expressed gratitude for the Ajman Chamber's efforts to enhance economic ties. He praised the emirate’s competitive advantages and appealing investment climate. Kibedi confirmed Uganda’s willingness to expand cooperation in trade, industry, and services. He also invited the Ajman Chamber to participate in the UAE-Uganda Business Forum scheduled for October in Kampala.
The discussions underscored mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations through increased trade and investment. Both parties recognised the importance of collaboration in achieving shared economic goals. By leveraging each other's strengths, Ajman and Uganda aim to create a robust partnership that benefits both economies.
