Ajman Chamber And Nepal's Ambassador Discuss Enhancing Trade And Investment
Abdullah Al-Muwaijai, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce (ACCI), hosted Tej Bahadur Chhetri, the Ambassador of Nepal, to discuss enhancing economic cooperation and trade relations. The meeting aimed to explore investment opportunities between Ajman and Nepal.
The Ajman Chamber showcased various investment opportunities in sectors such as real estate, construction, tourism, education, health, and hospitality. They also highlighted the growth in trade exchange in the food and beverage sector. Trade between Ajman and Nepal increased by 30 percent in 2023 compared to 2022.

During the meeting, Abdullah Al Muwaiji stressed the significance of strengthening economic ties between Ajman and Nepal. He pointed out the promising opportunities for developing mutual economic and investment relations. He affirmed Ajman's commitment to supporting and facilitating business operations for investors from Nepal.
Tej Bahadur Chhetri expressed Nepal's eagerness to enhance its economic relations with the UAE. He stated, "We seek to develop cooperation with the Emirate of Ajman and establish a sustainable strategic partnership that supports increasing mutual investments and growing the volume of trade exchange."
The discussion also covered organising specialised exhibitions and joint forums to boost cooperation among business owners. These events aim to highlight available investment opportunities in both Ajman and Nepal.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector; Aisha Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of Investment and Business Promotion at the Ajman Chamber; and Anas Mahdi, Director of the Office of the Ambassador of Nepal.
Additionally, membership of Nepalese nationals in Ajman grew by 9.5 percent in 2023. This increase reflects a strengthening relationship between the two regions.
This meeting underscored both parties' commitment to fostering stronger economic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration. The focus remains on creating sustainable partnerships that benefit both economies.
