Airbus Confirms All Aircraft Produced Feature Parts Manufactured In The UAE
Jean-Brice Dumont, Head of Air Power at Airbus Defence and Space, highlighted the company's enduring partnership with the UAE's aviation sector. Airbus has been instrumental in localising aircraft parts manufacturing within the country. "This collaboration has allowed UAE-based companies to build manufacturing capabilities for components used in Airbus aircraft," he stated.
Dumont emphasised that all Airbus aircraft currently incorporate parts made in the UAE. He discussed a new agreement with EDGE Group to produce a specialised fuel tank for the C295 transport aircraft. This initiative underscores Airbus' commitment to expanding its industrial activities in the UAE over the next decade.

Airbus considers the UAE a long-term strategic ally, aiming to enhance local expertise beyond just production. Dumont noted, "These initiatives also include building a base of local expertise that contributes to the overall development of the aviation sector, positioning the UAE as a key player on the international stage in this vital field."
The company's vision extends beyond fulfilling local market demands. It seeks to transform the UAE into a global hub for aircraft parts manufacturing, thereby creating significant opportunities for Emirati industries worldwide.
Dumont stressed Airbus' dedication to strengthening partnerships with Emirati companies like EDGE Group, EPI, and Strata. These collaborations focus on transferring advanced technical knowledge and redirecting engineering expertise to local talent.
He recalled that Airbus began its partnership with the UAE in 2010 when it first produced a locally manufactured part with Strata. This marked a qualitative shift towards establishing the UAE as an essential hub for aircraft parts production.
Expanding Production Capabilities
The launch of specialised fuel tank production for the C295 transport aircraft is a significant milestone. In collaboration with EPI, part of EDGE Group, this makes the UAE the sole global supplier of these components.
This partnership exemplifies how the UAE can achieve industrial independence and boost national production capacity. Dumont added that Airbus is committed to training and qualifying Emirati talents, fostering an environment conducive to skill development.
Empowering Local Design and Innovation
"Airbus' commitment goes beyond training staff in production; the company also seeks to empower them to handle new designs and enhance industrial innovation at the local level," Dumont concluded. This approach aims to support technical autonomy and innovation within the region.
The collaboration between Airbus and local partners like EDGE Group illustrates how strategic alliances can drive industrial growth. By focusing on local talent development and advanced manufacturing capabilities, Airbus aims to position the UAE as a central player in global aviation markets.
