ADNOC Distribution To Install 200 EV Charging Points By End Of This Year
In a significant move towards enhancing its multi-energy and retail services, ADNOC Distribution has outlined an ambitious growth and expansion strategy for the next five years. The plan aims to extend its fuel station network across the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, alongside a major push towards increasing fast electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Engineer Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, shared these insights during the concluding day of the Make It in the Emirates Forum. According to Eng. Al Lamki, the company is set to elevate the number of its service stations from the current count of 840 to approximately 1,000. This expansion is slated to occur over the forthcoming half-decade, marking a significant stride in the company's operational footprint.

The expansion strategy is not just limited to increasing the number of fuel stations. ADNOC Distribution is also keen on broadening the scope of its non-fuel retail services. With plans to inaugurate between 15 and 20 new fuel stations this year alone, the company is focusing on prime locations that promise ease of access for customers.
Beyond fuel services, ADNOC Distribution is taking significant steps towards bolstering its support for electric vehicles, indicating a shift towards more sustainable energy solutions. Currently, the company boasts 90 fast EV charging points strategically placed in key locations. The goal is to elevate this number to between 150 and 200 by the year's end, with a broader vision to install 500 fast electric chargers over the next five years.
This comprehensive expansion and growth plan underlines ADNOC Distribution’s ambition to cement its position as a leader in the multi-energy sector. By broadening its network and enhancing its EV charging infrastructure, the company is not just responding to the growing demand for more sustainable and accessible energy options but is also paving the way for a future-oriented energy landscape in the region.
