ADNEC Group is making significant strides in 2025, following a successful start to the year. The ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi has become a focal point for global collaboration and innovation, hosting thousands of visitors, including ministers and key decision-makers. The diverse events scheduled for the second quarter span various sectors, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a hub for addressing global challenges and unlocking new opportunities.

In January, the Ataya Exhibition kicked off the year alongside Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. This event featured the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony and World Future Energy Summit (WFES), attracting nearly 42,000 policymakers and innovators. WFES has grown into a leading platform for sustainability and clean energy collaboration, drawing industry leaders from around the world to discuss renewable energy and climate action.

ADNEC Group Prepares for Q2 Events in 2025

The ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi hosted the largest editions of IDEX and NAVDEX in February. These renowned defence exhibitions attracted over 200,000 leaders and decision-makers globally. Focusing on innovations across land, air, sea, and space, these events are crucial platforms for addressing emerging security challenges through strategic alliances.

March saw ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi host consumer-focused events like Capital Majlis during Ramadan. The Ramadan and Eid exhibition showcased fashion, accessories, perfumes, and gifts from Gulf, Asian, and Arab companies. These events highlighted cultural diversity while promoting regional businesses.

April at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi featured a packed schedule with events like the Gulf & Indian Ocean Hotel Investors’ Summit (GIOHIS) from 7 to 8 April. Concurrently, the Annual Investment Meeting Congress ran from 7 to 9 April, providing a premier investment platform aimed at fostering economic ties among nations.

The World Local Production Forum took place from 7 to 9 April under the theme "Advancing Local Production for Health Equity." Meanwhile, the World Crisis & Emergency Management Summit highlighted UAE’s commitment to enhancing global emergency preparedness from 8 to 9 April.

Healthcare and Education Focus

The Wound Healing Congress on 10-11 April brought together specialists for knowledge exchange in wound care. Following this was the A2RL Drone Racing Competition on 11-12 April featuring AI-powered drones navigating complex courses autonomously.

From 15 to 17 April, Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week gathered healthcare leaders worldwide to shape future healthcare landscapes. The Education Interface event on 17-18 April explored academic disciplines aligning with UAE’s evolving labour market demands.

Entertainment and Innovation Highlights

The Middle East Film & Comic Con ran from 18 to 20 April showcasing major brands in film, TV, sci-fi, manga, comics, and collectibles. Attendees explored diverse interests while connecting with fellow enthusiasts in entertainment trends.

The Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit occurred from 21 to 23 April as MENA’s largest annual electronic mobility event. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair attracted thousands of visitors from 25 April to 5 May at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

May's Notable Events

The International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA) began on 28 April until 2 May offering interactions with aviation specialists. From 4 to 8 May was the Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium focusing on publishing high-quality research.

May also marked Make It In the Emirates Forum debuting at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi spotlighting industrial innovation opportunities supporting UAE’s economic diversification goals. The World Utilities Congress addressed future global energy issues while IntraLogisteX connected logistics providers seeking advanced solutions.

Summer Sports Event

The first half of 2025 concludes with Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS), running from June to August at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. This indoor sporting event encourages healthy lifestyles through sports during hot summer months offering activities suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
