Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange And Budapest Stock Exchange Establish Strategic Partnership Through MoU
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on several initiatives. This agreement was formalised during President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Hungary. The ceremony took place at BSE's offices with Saud Hamad Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Hungary, in attendance.
The MoU aims to strengthen ties between the capital markets of the UAE and Hungary by sharing best practices. It also represents a significant step for BSE in building international relations, particularly in the Middle East. This aligns with ADX’s ongoing efforts to forge connections with leading global financial institutions.

Under this agreement, both exchanges will work to enhance the visibility of their respective capital markets. They plan to organise joint events such as investor roadshows, seminars, and educational programs. Additionally, they are considering cooperation in developing ETF products to offer more diverse investment options.
Another aspect of their collaboration involves exploring dual listings and cross-border trading opportunities. Both exchanges are also committed to closer professional cooperation in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas.
A crucial part of the MoU is exchanging best practices related to market developments, regulatory practices, product development, and IT capacity building. The parties will evaluate ways for BSE to join Tabadul Hub, a platform launched by ADX in 2022 that facilitates cross-border trading through digital connectivity.
Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, stated that this collaboration marks a significant milestone in ADX’s global integration journey. He said it establishes a foundation for enhanced cooperation and innovation. "Together, we aim to develop new financial products...to serve both local and international investors," he noted.
Expanding Investment Opportunities
Tibor Tóth, CEO of BSE, highlighted that this partnership not only strengthens ties between the two exchanges but also opens new opportunities for investors from both countries. "We are confident that these new initiatives will make our markets even more attractive," he remarked.
This strategic alliance is expected to provide a robust platform for financial growth between the UAE and Hungary. It reflects both ADX’s and BSE’s commitment to global economic progress while reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a dynamic financial centre focused on sustainable growth.
