Abu Dhabi Customs And Ras Al Khaimah Customs Sign Agreement For Enhanced Integration And Cooperation
The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs and Ras Al Khaimah Customs have formalised an agreement to boost integration and strategic cooperation. This move aligns with the UAE's vision to streamline customs coordination at both federal and local levels. The signing took place at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion during GITEX Global 2025, witnessed by Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED).
The agreement aims to foster comprehensive integration, enhance coordination, and promote the exchange of information, knowledge, and expertise. It also focuses on developing human capital, advancing digital transformation, and utilising modern systems and artificial intelligence technologies in operations management.

Both parties are committed to creating a robust customs compliance framework. This involves adopting best operational practices to improve efficiency, contributing to national objectives, and strengthening the UAE’s competitiveness in the customs sector regionally and globally.
Abu Dhabi Customs has implemented systems such as RIMAH, which uses AI to identify shipment nature before arrival at customs ports. Additionally, DHAFRA is an AI-powered platform for data governance and management that supports future reporting advancements.
Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs, emphasised their dedication to fostering strategic relations and expanding cooperation. They aim to leverage technical and human capabilities to support national economic goals while advancing an innovation-driven, digitally enabled institutional work environment.
Dr. Rashed Rashed Al Mehrezi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs, highlighted that this collaboration signifies a new phase of sustainable partnerships. These partnerships are designed to support the development of the customs ecosystem.
