Abu Dhabi Customs Partners With Maersk To Enhance Trade Facilitation And Border Management
Abu Dhabi Customs has partnered with Maersk Global Trade & Customs Consulting to enhance border management and supply chain resilience. This collaboration aims to boost the efficiency and competitiveness of Abu Dhabi's trade and logistics sector. The agreement was signed by Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Customs, and Dr. Lars Karlsson, Global Head of Trade and Customs Consulting at Maersk, during the Abu Dhabi–London Business Connect Forum.
The partnership seeks to leverage Abu Dhabi Customs’ vision for integrated smart solutions within its "Invisible Customs" ecosystem. It also draws on Maersk’s global expertise in trade innovation. The focus is on creating next-generation customs modernisation solutions, such as enhancing coordinated border management and developing a ‘Trusted Digital Trade Corridor’. Additionally, a comprehensive customs compliance framework for brokers will be established.

Al Mansoori expressed that this agreement demonstrates Abu Dhabi Customs' dedication to innovating customs administration through strategic partnerships.
